Zarif to depart for Istanbul

TEHRAN, Jul. 31 (MNA) – FM spokesperson said Mohammad Javad Zarif is slated to leave for Turkey’s Istanbul to attend an extraordinary meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

Bahram Ghasemi said Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Javad Zarif will arrive in Istanbul on Tuesday to take part at the extraordinary meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to review the latest developments in the occupied al-Quds.

“Given the recent developments in the occupied territories and increasing pressure on the Palestinian people, especially in Qods, an urgent need is felt for cooperation among Islamic countries,” he continued.

Spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry further emphasized that Islamic countries shall never forget that, despite certain disagreements, Palestine remains as a top priority for the Islamic world and the issue would remain unresolved except through unity of Islamic Ummah and pressure on the Zionist regime.
